Mushroom Walk in Saugerties | Saturday, October 1, 9 AM **2016**

ecclogojbnhslogoThe Esopus Creek Conservancy and John Burroughs Natural History Society will co-sponsor a guided mushroom walk in the Town of Saugerties. Autumn can be a very productive time of the year for mushrooms if soil moisture is favorable. Professor Bill Bakaitis will guide us as we explore a local woodland in search of ground and wood-dwelling mycelia. Be prepared for potentially wet/muddy conditions and moderate rain.

Group size is limited to 20 so register early.

Additional Information: Collecting is not permitted. Heavy rain cancels the walk. Children are welcome and encouraged, but please do not bring pets.

Driving Directions:  Meet in the northeast corner of the Saugerties Plaza parking lot (near the Credit Union) on US Rte. 9W just south of the Village of Saugerties. We will carpool to the location.
