This wonderful hike begins on a lovely streamside trail and continues up a mountain pass between the two mountains. We then get to scramble up Blackdome (3980 ft) and Blackhead (3940 ft). The views are Splendid! We plan to take our time and enjoy the mountaintops in their October beauty. Hike appropriate for peakseekers, CATs Challenge all trails and all who love the outdoors in fall.

Level of Difficulty:  Difficult

Bring: Good hiking shoes for scrambles, lunch, plenty to drink.

Be prepared for strong fall breezes, so dress in layers.

Registration required by Sept 16th to 30th.  Use registration form below to register.

Group size is limited to 12 so register early.

Driving Directions:  From Hunter and Tannersville at 23A take 23c north to Maplecrest Road. You next go right onto Big Hollow Road and through the Valley to the end. Trailhead parking is there.
