The Beaverkill Trout Hatchery was spawned in 1963 by Fred D. Shaver, a dairy farmer and an avid sportsman.
Perhaps the oldest and largest private trout hatchery in New York state, it is still proudly family owned and operated 5 generations strong by the Shaver family.Primarily stocking trout to customers in NY, NJ, and Conn.

NYS Rte 28 west to NYS Rte 30. Left on Rte 30. Once over reservoir bridge and take immediate left onto BSW Rte 8. Bear Left onto Barkaboon Rd. Past Big Pond to Beaverkill Rd. (Co. Rte 54). Left on Beaverkill rd to Alder Creek Rd. Left on Alder Creek to #8 Alder Creek Rd.
From Livingston Manor:
Take Cc Rte 179 to Co Rte 151 (Beaverkill Rd.) Continue onto Co Rte 152 also Beaverkill Rd to CO Rte 54 , also Beaverkill Rd. to Alder Creek Rd.
Left on Alder Creek to #8 Alder Creek Rd.
