Additional Information:  Tremper Mountain is one of two mountains in the Catskills (with Overlook) that has a population of timber rattlesnakes. Seldom seen, with care there is no need to worry. They usually sun in the quarry, but occasionally one may be seen near the trail.

Covid-19 Guidelines:  Due to the rise in delta variant cases locally and nationally we have revived these simple protocols for participation in our in-person events. Wear a mask while congregated in the parking lot or at other sites.  Follow social distancing protocols.  Use your own pen when signing in, or use hand sanitizer. Driving Directions:  Trailhead is located between Mount Tremper and Phoenicia on Plank Rd.  Plank Road intersects Rte. 212 in the hamlet of Mount Tremper. Turn north and continue to  the trailhead on the right. From the main Street in Phoenica go south to the trailhead on the left.
