DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n\nJoin Catskill Center staff member Olivia Bernard on Sunday\, October 3rd for a fun\, challenging hike to the top of Mount Tremper and enjoy the 360-degree views from the top cab of Mount Tremper Fire Tower. This out and back hike is roughly 3 miles one way/6 miles roundtrip\, ascending about 1967′ from the trailhead on Route 40/Plank Road. We’ll stop for a lunch break at the summit.\n\n\n\nEvent Duration:  6 miles\,  6 hours \nLevel of Difficulty:  Difficult \nLeader(s):  Olivia Bernard \nBring: lunch\, snacks\, plenty to drink\, tick repellent\, dress in layers\, good hiking shoes \nRegistration required by October 1st.  Please use registration form below to register. \nPLEASE contact the leader and cancel if you are not able to come as others may want to take your place. \nGroup size is limited so register early. \nFee:  No \nDogs allowed:  No \nAdditional Information:  Tremper Mountain is one of two mountains in the Catskills (with Overlook) that has a population of timber rattlesnakes. Seldom seen\, with care there is no need to worry. Turn north and continue to  the trailhead on the right.
