Come join a morning hike of Shavertown Trail near the Pepacton Reservoir. We’ll walk to the pond and take in the views of the pond and reservoir, and continue on the trail as far as time allows. We’ll return to Snake Pond to have lunch enjoying the wonderful views and head back to the trailhead in time to join the 1 pm reservoir cleanup. (You do not need to be doing the reservoir cleanup to do the hike, but we’d love it if you did!)
After a good climb that will get your heart pumping on the first mile of the trail, the view may take your breath away! We will enjoy the view and walk around Snake Pond before we continue up an easier climb before returning to the pond for lunch. The upper loop is a nice second growth forest with lots of nice rock formations.
