We will meet at the DEC Offices and then start from the trail which is across the road . We will walk to the top of Bald Mountain where we will have a 270 degree view in the Catskills. The trails are on some of the old ski trails, so it is very steep. We will walk down the other side and around the base of the mountain for more views.

Bring: lunch/ snacks, water/ drink, sunscreen, proper clothing, camera, good hiking shoes. It is hunting season so please wear some orange.

Covid-19 Guidelines:   We ask participants to socially distance,  to be vaccinated and to cancel if they or members of their household are or have been ill with covid-like symptoms within the past ten days.   Other guidelines may apply, depending on event. Driving Directions: Meet at Stamford NY, DEC Offices, 65561 St Hwy 10, Stamford, NY 12167. These offices are located 1 mile north of Stamford (junction St Hwys 10 & 23) on the west side of RT 10.

From Windham, NY, take RT 23 west to Rt 10 (24 miles) turn right at the light and take RT 10 one mile and offices are on the left.

From Margaretville NY Take Rt 30 north 19 miles to Rt 23 in Grand Gorge, Turn left on 23 and go 8.3 miles to junction with RT 10 at traffic light. Turn right at the light and take RT 10 one mile and offices are on the left.

From Oneonta take Rt 23 east 24.8 miles to Stamford. At traffic light, turn left on to Rt 10 and go one mile and offices are on the left.
