West Kill Mountain Traverse

Hike over West Kill Mountain and St. Anne’s Peak to get a 7.75 mile taste of the Catskill Mountain’s famed Devil’s Path. This enjoyably challenging hike includes two summits, lots of scenic outlooks, and a beautiful waterfall called Diamond Notch Falls. Car spotting required for the traverse.

Participants should bring: Sturdy hiking boots, plenty to drink, trekking poles are helpful, camera, proper clothing for predicted weather. Rain gear in case of possible showers predicted.

Driving Directions: From the east on Rt. 23A, turn left onto Rt.42 in Lexington and drive south. Turn left onto Spruceton Rd. From east on Rt. 28, turn right onto Rt. 42 in Shandaken an drive north. Turn right onto Spruceton Rd. Drive east 3.7 miles to the Mink Hollow trail head parking area, on the right. We will leave cars here and carpool to the start.
