Trail Maintenance Hike on the Willow Trail
October 10, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join a Trail Conference Trail Steward for a day of maintaining trails in the heart of the Catskills!
Trail Maintenance is clearing, cleaning, and blazing. We will use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail, remove debris from drainage structures, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes. We will start the day with a challenging hike up the Willow Trail to the Warner Creek Trail, which coincides with the Long Path. We will finish our day back at the parking lot for some snacks or you could choose to finish the hike to the Tremper Mountain Fire Tower for a beautiful view of the Catskills!
