Meeker Hollow Mountain – North Plattekill Mountain Bushwhack
October 3, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Meeker Hollow Mt (Catskill 100 highest). Depending on conditions we will continue with a whack to North Plattekill Mt (Catskill 100 highest). Meeker Hollow is viewless and has a large area of raspberry prickers near and on the summit. Long pants and sleeves strongly recommended.
We may pick up an overgrown woods road to twin-summited North Plattekill summits. The summits are part of the Plattekill ski area and there is a ski trail/service road along the connecting ridge. There are spectacular autumn views from N Plattekill.
With limited parking at Meeker Hollow – participants must be ready to fill cars for the short ride between the start and end of the hike.
