Hike to North Point with an Introduction to the Catskills Stewards Program

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference’s Head Steward of the Catskills (Sabina Cardenas) will take you on a hike to North Mountain’s North Point, which offers a wonderful tree-top view of North/South Lake campground as well as the Hudson River. While on the hike, she will introduce you to what the Stewards do and what our program aims to accomplish here in the Catskills.
Option to extend the hike to see the old plane crash at Stopple Point!

Bring: something to drink, snacks, wear good hiking shoes

Group size is limited to 12, so register early.
Dogs allowed: Yes, leashed only

Driving Directions: Scutt Road Trailhead Parking, 818,820 N Lake Rd Palenville, NY 12463. From SR23A in Haines Falls, take North Lake Rd. to the Scutt Rd. P. A. which is just before the entrance to the campground.
You can also put in directions to North/ South Lake Campground but do not park inside the campground. Right before you enter the campground there is a road to the right that leads into a parking lot. That is Scutts Road Parking Lot.
After you press “Submit” below the registration form, you will see a screen that says “Your registration has been submitted”. If you do not, an error has occurred. Please resubmit, being sure to complete all fields. You should receive a message from the leader acknowledging your registration.
