Ashokan Quarry Hike
October 13 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Join us on a short but pithy hike through the old quarry, which was used in the building of the Ashokan Reservoir. This is a loop hike on a mostly easy path, but involves a short hill climb and occasional rocky footing. Aside from a view, we will see the remains of the quarry work, of glacial activity, and traces of fossils. A lot to see in a short hike. Crummy weather postpones to Sunday.
