Join Ann Roberti of the CMC on a beautiful paddle on the scenic Pepacton Reservoir.
Provide your own CANOE or KAYAK or rent from a local business. We will launch promptly at 11 AM from the Shavertown Bridge Recreational Boating Launch site on the north side of the bridge.
Life jackets required. All boats must be steam cleaned prior to arrival on site and have a valid DEP access sticker. For more information on regulations check out the Pepacton Boating Brochure or visit the DEP Rec Boating Program web page. DEP Access permits are required and can be obtained online free of charge here: https://a826-web01.nyc.gov/recpermitapp/
On previous Lark paddles we’ve seen bald eagles, a beaver swam among our boats and a bear was spotted swimming across the reservoir. If you have not paddled the Pepacton, don’t miss this event.
Event Duration: 3-4 hours
Level of Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Bring: Life jacket, drinks, lunch, sunscreen

Group size is limited so register early.
Fee: No. If you need to have your boat steam cleaned local vendors charge $15-$20 for cleaning.

Covid-19 Guidelines: Due to the rise in delta variant cases locally and nationally we have revived these simple protocols for participation in our in-person events. Wear a mask while congregated in the parking lot or at other sites. Follow social distancing protocols. Use your own pen when signing in, or use hand sanitizer. Other guidelines may apply, depending on event. The event leader will inform participants.
