SUMMARY:Mount Tremper Fire Tower Hike
DESCRIPTION:.       Join Catskill Fire Tower Project Volunteer Jonathan Mogelever for a hike to the summit of Mount Tremper and the Mount Tremper Fire Tower.  We will unlock the cab on top of the fire tower so hike participants can enjoy the view from inside–including views of the tallest mountains in the Catskills\, the Shawangunks and the Hudson Highlands. \n\nWe will leave from the trail head on Plank Road (just east of Phoenicia) and have lunch at the fire tower.\n\nPlease register early: Limited to 15 hikers\n\nEvent duration:  6 hours\, 6 miles roundtrip (2000′ elevation gain)\n\nLevel of difficulty:  Difficult\n\nParticipants should bring:  Lunch\, at least 1 liter of water\, and fall weather hiking layers\n\nRegistration required by:  Wednesday\, October 3rd\n\nDogs:  Well-behaved dogs on leash\n\nDriving directions:  Drive to Phoenicia\, on Phoenicia’s Main Street drive east out of town–this Plank Road (along side the Esopus) and it’s 1.3 miles to the Trail Head Parking Area on the left.\n\nAfter you press “Submit” below the registration form\, you will see a screen that says “Your registration has been submitted”. If you do not\, an error has occurred. Please resubmit\, being sure to complete all fields. You should receive a message from the leader acknowledging your registration.\n\n\n
