There are steep climbs and great views. Hike to Red Hill Fire Tower DESCRIPTION:We will be hiking to Red Hill Fire Tower from the Denning Road Trail Head. This trail is a moderate elevation gain with one rock scramble near the top. On our way to the fire tower we will stop and try to I.D. mushrooms and other fauna along the trail. Plan to pack a lunch\, there are picnic tables at the top. Hikers will be able to climb the tower and enter the cabin as well. We will walk the Headwaters Trail up to the top of Bald Mountain\, where we will have a 270 degree view of the Catskills. Part of the Trail is on some old ski trails\, so it is very steep with a very short bushwhack.
