We will start across from the DEC Offices, down the righthand driveway to the parking lot. We will walk around the lower part of Bald Mountain and climb up an old ski trail to the top where the lifts are, a spot that offers a 270 degree view of the Catskills. At the top we’ll take a break for lunch.

Driving directions: Located in Stamford, NY, we will park across from the DEC Offices, 65561 State Highway 10, Stamford, NY 12167, just northeast of Stamford on Route 10. From Wyndham NY take NY route 23 West to Rt 10, turn right at the light, 26 miles. Margaretville take Rt 30 north to Rt 23 and turn west, left, 28 miles. Oneonta take rt 23 East to Rt 10 and turn left at the light, 27 miles.
