Emmons Pond Bog Hike

  This 1.4 mile loop will explore the area surrounding the pond and bog at which beavers have been observed in the past.  Bogs are noted for preserving artifacts from earlier times and are useful when dating changes in climate and for understanding natural history.  The Nature Conservancy Preserve.  https://www.nature.org/en-us/get-involved/how-to-help/places-we-protect/eny-emmons-pond-bog/

Bring:  good hiking shoes, something to drink,  tick repellent

Registration required by October 10.  Use registration form below to register.

PLEASE contact the leader and cancel if you are not able to come as others may want to take your place.

Group size is limited to 12 so register early.

Driving Directions:   From Delhi, North 10.7 miles and turn Right onto Coe Hill Rd. 1.3 miles, continue onto White Hill Road, 2 miles.
From Oneonta, Street Light at Rt 28 and Main St take South Side Drive, .9 miles and turn Right on Stewart Hollow Rd. 1.1 miles, take first right to stay on Stewart Hollow Rd, 1.7 miles, Turn left onto White Hill Rd, .9 miles, destination on left.
