Bennett Hill Hike

We’ll hike all of the trails of Bennett Hill, a Hudson Mohawk Land Conservancy project. Beautiful open forest with unusually shaped oaks, old woods roads, a viewpoint at along the top trail with great foliage.
Event Duration: 3 miles, 3 hours
Level of Difficulty: Easy-Moderate

Bring: Windbreaker/rain jacket. Water. Hiking boots. Poles a good idea due to pebbly trails in places.

Additional Information: Bennett Hill is located in SW Albany county, near the Helderbergs.
The hike is 3+ miles with 700ft of ascent, nowhere steep, with the first 0.25mi entry trail adjacent to a dairy pasture. I’ll have my dog but there may by be room for one or two others by prior arrangement if they are used to behaving around other dogs and people and don’t mind being on leash for the entry trail. Arrive no later than 8:45am at Jake Moon Restaurant( NY443 in Clarksville, NY) for the last half mile drive to trailhead.
The weather doesn’t have to be perfect, but rain or a rainy forecast cancels. Please email me if you have questions.
