Call For Lark in the Park Event Leaders

Plan and Lead a Lark in the Park Event!

DSCN0703Hiking, paddling, mountain biking or road cycling, backpacking, fishing, natural history walks, birding, writing or photography workshops, lectures, educational events, and all types of outdoor activities are on the schedule for Catskills Lark in the Park and we need you to be a part of it to make the Lark in the Park happen!

The Catskill Mountain Club, the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development, the New York – New Jersey Trail Conference,  and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation ask you to help make this year’s Lark in the Park an extraordinary 10 days by volunteering to plan, organize and lead an event in the Catskills.

Thanks to volunteer leaders like you, Lark in the Park is the largest coordinated outdoor events in the Catskills. We look forward to your help in getting everyone outdoors to enjoy the Catskills.

Proposed events will be reviewed by the Lark in the Park partners and if there are any questions about the suitability of the event for the Lark in the Park, we will be in touch. Otherwise events will be posted to the website as we receive them. Attendees will register on the website and you’ll be sent notifications of those registrations.

Lark in the Park was originally celebrated in 2004 when the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation called on regional organizations to help them mark the 100th anniversary of the Catskill Park’s founding.
