Cycling Art: Fred Woller at the CRC | Friday, October 7, 4:30 PM **2016**

crclogo The Catskill Recreation Center is holding a reception for Fred Woller on October 7, 2016 from 4:30 – 7:30 PM. He has eight large paintings currently hanging at the Catskill Recreation Center, all of people bicycling. This will be a great opportunity to view the artwork and to meet Fred Woller. Fred learned how to ride a bike at the age of six and has enjoyed the sport of bicycling throughout his adulthood. He has participated in bike races in Central Park. Thinking about those rides is what inspired Fred’s first bicycle drawings and paintings. He began painting his bicycle series in earnest after his artwork was adopted as the logo for the yearly “Ride-and-Peak” bike event, in Margaretville, and subsequently used for the “Catskill Mountain Cycling Challenge” hosted by the Catskill Recreation Center.
