Mud and Trout Pond Loop | Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 10:00 AM **2016**

From the Trail Head we will descends and cross the Bridge over Russell Brook and enjoy the large waterfall. We will follow the blue markers west to Mud Pond and inspect the foundations remains that overlook Mud Pond. We will backtrack to the left turn over Cherry Ridge to Trout Pond. We will have lunch near one of the two Lean-to’s overlooking Trout Pond. From there we will follow the old road down to the Russell Brook Bridge. Along the way there are a few campsites.

Level of Difficulty:  Easy-Moderate

Driving Directions:

From Livingston Manor take NY RT 17 West to Roscoe, Exit 94. Turn left onto Rt 206 toward Walton, 5.8 miles, in 700 ft turn left onto Old Rt 17, turn left onto Russell Brook Rd. 1 mile to the destination.
From Downsville NY Take 206 toward Roscoe for 8.9 miles, turn right onto Morton Hill Rd for 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Russell Brook Rd. Trailhead in 1 mile
