Weather Station Hike | Wednesday, October 7, 1 PM

Join Karen Rauter of Roundout Neversink Sream Management.  Meet at Neversink Town Hall and we will hike to one of NYC’s weather monitoring stations nearby. This is a hike of moderate length (2mi) with steep pitches. Glenn Horton will explain how snow pack help’s the water supply managers determine how much drinking water will flow into reservoirs.

Bring a snack, water, hat and good hiking shoes to this moderate-difficult 4 mile, 3 hour hike.

No dogs allowed.

Directions: Meet at 273 Main Street in Grahamsville, State Route 55 Town of Neversink. From SR 28, take CR 47/Oliverea-Frost Valley Rd. from Big Indian to CR 19 in Claryville. Go to SR 55 and turn left. From US 209 in Napanoch, travel west on SR 55.
